The subclass 571 visa is for overseas students undertaking full-time study in primary, secondary schools or approved secondary exchange programs in Australia.
Subclass 572 - Vocational Education and Training Sector
The subclass 572 visa is for overseas students seeking to enrol in a principal course that leads to the award of Certificate I, II, III and IV, VET Diploma, VET Advanced Diploma or Advanced Certificate.
Subclass 573 - Higher Education Sector
The subclass 573 visa is for overseas students seeking to enrol in a principal course that leads to the award of a Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Higher Education Diploma, Higher Education Advanced Diploma or Masters by Coursework.
Subclass 574 - Postgraduate Research Sector
The subclass 574 visa is for overseas students seeking to enrol in a principal course that leads to the award of a Masters by Research or a Doctoral degree.
Subclass 575 - Non-Award Sector
The subclass 575 visa is for overseas students undertaking a principal course not leading to the award of any formal qualification.
Subclass 576 - AusAID or Defence Sector
The subclass 576 visa is for overseas students sponsored by the Australian Department of Defence or by AusAID to enrol in a full time course of any study in Australia.
Subclass 580 - Student Guardian
The subclass 580 visa is for a parent, custodian or relative to live in Australia in order to provide appropriate care and welfare arrangements for student visa holders under the age of 18 during their study or student visa holders over 18 in exceptional circumstances.

Once you have received the letter of enrolment from your college, you are ready to apply for the student visa which has its specific requirements. While there are few requirements, one of the most critical one is an approved education loan covering your tuition fees for the entire period plus other living expenses.
